Selby painted yachts primarily from the 1920's to the 1950's. It is said that he went aboard the yacht and took measurements when an owner commissioned a painting. He had been a sailor as a young man and his paintings are accurately detailed.
The Yacht Mascotte was owned by Henry Plante Jr. His ancestors were important in the development of Florida.
This painting is oil on board and in excellent condition.
